WHAT'S NEW AND IN THE NEWS? HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO FLORIDIAN COMMUNITY BANK HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO FLORIDIAN COMMUNITY BANK FLORIDIAN COMMUNITY BANK CELEBRATES ITS FIFTH YEAR ANNIVERSARY…In the last five years Floridian Community Bank has made great strides in performance, reporting profits for the last 3 years of operations. Our secret to success is the traditional and conservative way we cater to our customer base. We are there when they need us to help them become successful. This not only affects their business lives, but their personal as well. With the knowledge and experience of our Board of Directors and Loan Officers, the bank has the ability to make loan decisions locally, as often as necessary, and to give a quick response to your loan requests. Financial services are continually being expanded. Our bank takes pride in remaining on the cutting edge of technology with our product offerings. As an example, there has been a great response to the Remote Deposit Capture product which has been available since last year and our customers are quite pleased with its efficiency and cost savings, not to mention the improvement in the availability of funds. Now in April, 2008 the bank will be implementing the latest innovation of capturing our customer deposits with the use of branch capture and check 21. Again, the benefits in expanded banking hours and immediate images are a big plus to funds availability and record keeping. Enjoy our community spirit, as we welcome you to visit us in Davie and our new Juno Beach Branch to appreciate the personalized service you deserve.
THE SECOND ANNUAL WOMEN IN DISTRESS - STARFISH LUNCHEON THE SECOND ANNUAL WOMEN IN DISTRESS – STARFISH LUNCHEON …to be held on May 14, 2008 at the Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty Six will raise funds to benefit Women In Distress’ supportive services to victims and their children, emergency shelter, as well as domestic violence prevention and education activities. The title of the luncheon stems from the Starfish Story adopted from “The Start Thrower” by Loren Eisley. It is a story of a young girl and her grandmother walking down to the beach. It was a beautiful afternoon and the tide had pulled back leaving hundreds of starfish stranded on the sand. The girl began to run around, picking up starfish and throwing them back into the water. Her grandmother laughed at her efforts and said, “Why do you run about? There are hundreds of starfish and you are wasting your time. You can’t possibly make a difference here.” Her granddaughter stopped, looked carefully at the starfish in her hand and, as she threw it back into the sea, said, “Maybe I can’t save all of them Grandma, but I can make a difference for this one!” Joanne Gaines, Founding Organizer of Floridian Community Bank is a newly appointed member of the Board of Trustees and feels exactly the same way. As a staunch supporter of Women In Distress for many years she has contributed time and energy to being one more person that can make a difference. We can truly learn a lesson from this story and add each of us as making a difference one person at a time.
CUTTING-EDGE REMOTE CAPTURE TECHNOLOGY REMOTE DEPOSIT CAPTURE KEEPS FLORIDIAN COMMUNITY BANK ON THE CUTTING EDGE OF TECHNOLOGY..... Remote Capture Technology allows Floridian Community Bank customers to scan, submit, and deposit all of their checks electronically through a state-of-the-art scanner, with the convenience of never having to leave their office. This new technology is a strong tool for Floridian Community Bank’s business customers, allowing customers to complete their banking needs more quickly and efficiently than traditional banking methods. Remote capture technology presents a very simple cost justification. How long does it take your staff to prepare deposits? How long does it take your staff to drive to the bank? How much is your cost of labor? How much is lost in availability of funds if you don’t reach the bank by 2:00 pm.? How difficult is it to handle multiple business locations? How much time and money is spent on researching copies of deposited items? Add it all up and after realizing the time and cost justification we expect you to ask…“ when can I get my machine?”
